The library serves as a resource for the London Islamic School community to foster a love of reading and learning, support for the curriculum, and enhance research skills.
We are currently in the process of building our Library Learning Commons, a learning space for students to collaborate and learn through exploration and research. The LIS Learning Commons will act as the hub and the heart of the school, with a wide variety of books in both fiction and non-fiction genres, as well as some rich resources in Arabic and Islamic Studies.
Our learning commons is also equipped with 12 computer workstations to promote digital literacy and online research throughout the scope of our students learning tenure at LIS. Our online library catalogue will allow students and parents to search through our complete catalogue of books, DVDs, and other resources through our Maplewood Library software.
